Please plan to join us for our annual Open House this Thursday, September 21, from 7:00 – 8:30 p.m. Open House (also known as Curriculum Night) is an opportunity for you to physically sit in each of your child’s classrooms, meet his/her teachers, and gain insight into the curriculum, expectations, and learning that will take place this year.
Upon arrival, please go to your student’s first hour classroom. There will be staff members in the hallway to help direct you to the correct location. In first hour, you will be provided with a copy of your student’s full schedule and a building map. Knowing your child’s 1sthour class/teacher will be helpful but we will have a listing of first hour classes/teachers posted.
Parents will attend each of their student’s classes in a shortened format. We will allot 10 minutes for each class and 5 minutes for passing time. As it will be too difficult to attend multiple classes per hour, parents with more than one child at Larson should look at their children’s schedules beforehand to plan which classrooms they will attend. Parents of students having odd/even classes should attend the “odd” day class. You will get a chance to meet each teacher at that time.
Optional for Parents of students with ODD/EVEN Classes: There will be an optional early session to meet with EVEN day teachers from 6:45 – 6:55 pm as shown below.
- Mr. Helfrich/Mrs. Holtz/Mrs. Rexer, 6th Grade PE – Gymnasium
- Mr. Hayes, 6th Math Support – Room 706
- Mr. Quinn, 6th Orchestra – Room 102
- Mr. Crecelius, 6th Band – Room 101
- Mrs. Krozek, 6th Art – Room 402
- Mrs. Muller, Study Skills – Room 701
As usual, parking will be a major challenge.! You may consider carpooling with other parents or even walking if the weather is pleasant and you live close to Larson. The forecast looks fantastic!
Following 6th period, please plan to join us in the cafeteria for cider and donuts. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday evening. If you have any further questions, please contact me at your convenience.
